My 65 plate A4 2.0tdi Avant currently with an Audi specialist awaiting a new AdBlue tank, pump and ECU at a cost north of 2K 🙄 This will be the second time this has happened, once at 65k back in 2019 and again now at 106k. love the car but certain that Audi know about this issue and are reluctant to acknowledge the fact.

Posted January 18, 2023. Recently bought an A4 Avant Quattro, perfect service history and well looked after at 73,000 miles. 2 months in with limited miles and I get an AdBlue fault and CEL on dash. Car is now in with Audi needing the AdBlue tank replaced, thankfully the car had a few months left on approved used warranty so is covered.

It all started with the famous Ad blue sistem fault/ no start in 650 miles !! The faults were p208c and p208d (control circuit for reductant pump short to plus/ and short to ground). I was quoted 2000£ by vag specialist for new ecu/pump. Replaced the tank myself once, same errors, replaced again with one known to be 100% ok, same errors.

Audi dealer pointed to AdBlue control module (#4M0907355D) as faulty. It cost me 300€ approximately a year ago. About replacing whole system - if the pump itself dies, then the whole system is replaced, as the new pump has different dimensions and doesn't fit in the old tank - that's what I read somewhere.
